A recent tour of Iceland at the end of May. Cool but comforable conditions - days were +9C to +13C and a few rainy ones. Exactly what one can expect in Iceland at this time of year.

We saw much more than what we did in previous visits. We had some goals including visiting the West Fjords up in the Northwest. It is well off the Ring Road and you would need a minimum additional 2-3 days to explore that beautiful part of the country!
Here are the 8 overnight stays:
- Borgarnes
 |
The Black Church, Budir, Snaefelsnes |
- Stykkisholmur

Another great tour of Iceland. Accommodations are still expensive and especially meals. Breakfast was included in hotels, we bought sandwiches and yogurt for lunches and dinners at the hotels or nearby restaurants! The Keflavik airport is still expanding to accommodate the huge tourist numbers. We still had to walk off the plane to tarmac, on a bus to the terminal - not enough gates for all the flights. There are still a few things to see on another trip sometime!
